relief for debilitating low-back pain

In mid-September a 47-year old motocross fanatic came in to our clinic, barely able to stand upright. He had had low-back pain for years, but a fall he took from his bike at a race two days prior left him unable to do daily activities, including work. He was extremely skeptical about acupuncture, despite my lecture to his motocross club elaborating about this safe, effective medicine. But desperate times called for desperate measures: acupuncture.

He was the club's "guinea pig": if he got better, others in the club would follow. So I had something to prove to him and the other members. One treatment with electro-stimulation and the guy walked out of the treatment room saying "No fricken way!" and "I can't believe it!". He was back to work installing refrigerators the same day. He was still in good form when I saw him for a second treatment two days later. Then times weren't so desperate anymore and I haven't seen him since.
